BPD has 4 phases:
Phase 1: Business Need – Clarifying the specific business result to be obtained
Phase 2: Desire – Creating a sense of urgency and aligning everyone to the agreed business vision and goals
Phase 3: Connection – Implementing the desired vision and achievement of the goals set
Phase 4: Continuous Improvement – Embedding the new way of working
BPD uses following the ADKAR people change management framework at each stage of the approach outlined above to effectively engage your people. The ADKAR Model was created by Jeffery M Hiatt.
The ADKAR model was first published by Prosci in 1998 after research with more than 300 companies undergoing major change projects. The approach shows that there are certain components that need to be addressed for successful individual change and by extension organisation change to occur.
