In order to take advantage of digital marketing you need to have a web presence e.g. website and/or social media page, that shows what problem you solve, who you solve it for and why they should buy from you.

I always advise clients to have their own website, rather than just relying on their social media page. If all your followers, buyers etc. are on your social media pages, then technically they are really not yours, as the social media company has the person’s contact details (email, phone address). Therefore I always advise my clients to have their own site with a free gift. This will entice your target market to give you their contact details, so now you have their details and can contact them directly.

Having a website for your business is imperative, as it represents your brand in the digital sphere. In addition to this, your company’s website must be easy to navigate and very responsive, with contact information made easily accessible and visible. Otherwise, visitors are unlikely to stay on your site trying to figure out where things are or wait for your page to load.

Quality Content

Quality content will :

  1. Attract people to your site
  2. Build credibility
  3. Create buzz
  4. Help to generate leads
  5. Boost your SEO ranking

Quality content may not always be the easiest task, but as you can see, it has its rewards. The content can be delivered as pictures, videos, tips, quotes or articles. Quality content is worth the time and money.

Social Media

In an era where the world is more interconnected than ever before, social media is a must have for businesses. Make use of the social media sites that will best support your product/service to reach your target audience. Posting quality content regularly will create engagement and help to build meaningful connections with customers and other potential lucrative networks.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is a cost effective way to communicate with your customers. Social media can be used hand in hand with email marketing to generate leads.  You can communicate special events, invitations, products/services and other valuable content to your customers. For example your social media post can contain a link to an article on your website and on your website, there is a free gift. In order to get the free gift the visitor must provide their contact details. Now they are in your database!!
