One Major Success Key for Women Business Owners

Finding Your Community

com·mu·ni·ty | \ kə-ˈmyü-nə-tē \ : a body of persons of common and especially professional interests scattered through a larger society

Dear Freedom Achiever,

Being part of a supportive and loving community gives you a sense of security and comfort that significantly transforms your race to entrepreneurial freedom.

"For women to advance professionally, we need to exploit our one true advantage — a strong female support group."

Before we go any further, pause for a second to reflect on how using the word “exploit” makes you feel. We assign our own feelings and emotions to words and the meaning can either empower or dis-empower us.

If we take a closer look at what Caroline is really saying, there is an important relationship between tapping into /exploiting  your community for support  and achieving professional success. As the quote illustrates, it is a skill you must learn to use if you want to have more opportunities to grow your business.

How to Leverage Your Community

A Mastermind is the perfect example of a community that you can leverage as you grow and scale your business. I have seen first hand how women entrepreneurs who are able to push past their discomfort and take advantage of being part of a  Mastermind community have been able to achieve great success in their businesses.

In my own experience being part of a Mastermind, one way I was able to leverage/exploit the community was obtaining great support when I decided to write my first book The Amazing Race To Entrepreneurial Freedom. Had it not been for the support of the other business owners in that community (most of whom had already published books of their own), I would have wasted a lot of time figuring out the process on my own and making unnecessary costly mistakes. However, being part of that Mastermind community, allowed me to tap into their expertise, and also utilise their networks and that led to me publishing an Amazon best selling book!

Is a Mastermind Right for You?

Another example that comes to mind is our BPD Mastermind. It was beautiful to watch a friendship and business relationship unfold between two members with similar businesses. Before joining the Mastermind they were not aware of each other, and now they have been able to leverage their relationship to collaborate on successful projects together. These women working together is another perfect example of taking advantage of your community because they decided to use each other’s unique strengths and tap into each other’s networks to collaborate professionally.

If you take away nothing else from these examples, it should be that the true benefit of being part of a Mastermind is having a community that you can draw both business and personal support.. Another advantage of being part of a mastermind  community is that each member has a wider network that expands beyond the Mastermind, and  once you have that strong support group, all you have to do is ask for what you need and someone will be able to assist you, whether it’s me and /or the other Masterminders.

As the popular saying goes, “it’s not who you know, but who knows you”. So if you’re ready to be in community with a group of women entrepreneurs who you can help and who can help you build and scale a successful business, our BPD Mastermind is the perfect fit for you.

Are you a woman entrepreneur running your business either part time or full time? Our Mastermind group is perfect for you to be in community with other women who can inspire you to build and scale the business of your dreams.
