What is a Mastermind? and Why You Should be Part of One

In his 1937 classic “Think and Grow Rich” Napoleon Hill explored the concept of the Mastermind as one of the keys to success which allowed businessmen at top American companies to take their personal and professional life to the next level. Since then, the Mastermind has grown from strength to strength and its increasing popularity among CEOs, top level managers, and entrepreneurs alike is based on the simple principle that two heads are better than one. When a group of like-minded people regularly meet to share their ideas, collaborate, provide support, receive feedback etc., we have what is known as a Mastermind group. Think of this group of people as a community wherein each member is on a similar journey. It isn’t unusual for a Mastermind to be led by a business coach who facilitates these regular meetings and who also weighs in to provide support, but a mastermind is not a class. In fact, the value of a mastermind is in each of its members.

The success of the group truly depends on each member’s commitment to engaging with the other participants.
