Why Every Small Business Owner Needs Accountability for Business Success

Dear Freedom Achiever,

Is it possible to build a successful business from the ground up without accountability?

In all fairness, you probably can. But you should probably take into consideration that without accountability, your journey to success will be more complicated than it needs to be – and not to mention, lonely. So why do that to yourself?

What is accountability anyway?

“Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result.” – Bob Proctor

Accountability is one of the most important tools an entrepreneur can have in their toolkit as it allows us to stay on top of our goals and ensures that we get them done in the time needed. Accountability turns wishes into goals, goals into plans, and plans into action.

Now, how exactly does it do that?

Think about when you create your New Year’s resolutions, you hardly stick to them because there is usually no one reminding you about what you said was important. No one challenges you when you make excuses and there is no one around to share the mixed up messages in your head and help you make sense of it so you can stay on task.

Don’t just take our word for it, though. The American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) conducted a study on accountability and the results speak for themselves. Based on the research conducted we now know that:

These results show that accountability not only improves performance, but it also increases the likelihood of you meeting your desired goals.

How To Put Accountability To Work

Accountability is not just about saying that you will get something done and working towards it on your own. Set yourself up for success by committing to specific actions and agreeing with someone else (e.g a coach or Mastermind group) to hold you accountable for those actions.

When you join our BPD Mastermind, you not only gain access to a valuable support network of women entrepreneurs who can help you to develop and achieve your goals, but you are also connected with your fellow Masterminders for monthly reporting of your business performance to keep you on track.

In our Mastermind, you are paired with an Accountability Buddy who will provide you with support in between our monthly Mastermind sessions. Additionally, you also have access to Passions to Profitability Expert, Georgina Terry, for advice, support, guidance or just a listening ear.

"I joined the Mastermind Group because as an entrepreneur I needed guidance and advice. What I got was much more. I was able to connect with a unique group of people with similar challenges as myself. Since joining, I have seen tremendous growth in myself since I’ve been able to overcome my fears that were causing me to not move forward, thereby helping me to be of more value to my business. I would advise anyone to join a Mastermind Group for the tremendous benefits you receive from it. These include guidance from your business coach and group members, a buddy system to ensure your goals are on track and networking opportunities. What are you waiting for? Join NOW!"
